A clear and definitive set of goals and objectives shape the vision and
channel the energy and drive to enable ECO’s achievements. ECO
has clarified their mission as the following:
The Mission of Education Creates Opportunity (ECO) is to create sustainable opportunity
in Uganda by providing focused education to Ugandans through environmentally
conscious and socially adept initiatives. ECO aims to enable generations
of rural Ugandans with the necessary resources, skills and know-how in order
to sustain improvement in their lives and communities.
ECO’s objectives are the following:
- To create environmental awareness and invoke enhanced social responsibility in community members regardless of age or gender.
- To create avenues for community members to improve the quality of their lives through education including advanced local skills and trades training, management and business best practices and resources.
- To create international bonds, linking communities in Uganda with sister communities across the globe.
